The good thing about kids, is the fact that you can turn anything into a game and they will love it. Everything from getting dressed, eating, brushing teeth, opening the post, flushing the toilet, looking into the fridge to opening and closing doors.

The challenge however, is making time to share in the experience. Here are some things you can do with your child;

1. Do your chores with your child; If you are sweeping give him a small brush, if you are a dad and you are shaving, let your child soap you up. Something simple is a lot for a child to have fun with.

2. Play hide and seek- But take your time in finding your child, as they might hide in the same place all the time (but do not wait too long or they will come out of their hiding)

3. You can teach them how to write. They will probably scribble but it's fun for them. Try felt pens and crayons.

4. Finger painting is awesome. Cover a table with paper and let them paint all over it with fingers if they are too small to hold a brush.

5.Make greeting cards for relatives or cousins and mail them together.

6. A small chalk board or white board is brilliant. They can play for long periods, and the more the colors the more the fun.

7. Bake with your child. Weighing ingredients and naming them (the little one doesn't have to touch unless you let them). You can also give them a small piece of dough to play with as you finish up

8. Give them toy utensils to clean up when you are doing the dishes. And if you have a dish washer, they can help you load the dish washer (give them their utensils).

9. Piggy bank, Give them coins to put into the piggy bank after shopping.

10. Pretend tea party is a good one, Just don't use your best china!
