Fall is here, that means locking away summer skincare routine. The air is getting colder and drier, and my skin tends to do the same thing! Every year, around October, I make changes to my beauty routine to ensure my skin stays as healthy as possible.
This is a look into my fall skincare routine. My 10 tips!
1. Switch up your cleanser — I use different cleansers ( I find that even though a gel cleanser works great in summer, when the skin naturally produces more oil, it’s too drying a product in winter). A moisture-rich cleansing lotion instead, works best. I personally use SUNDAY RILEY C.E.O. C + E Micro-Dissolve Cleansing Oil (it's perfect for all skin types)
2. Use an intense moisturizing lotion — Even if the skin does not feel dry, I still use a heavier moisturizer to stay ahead of dryness. I use Australian tea tree.
3. Use SPF — Yeah 'summer is over', does NOT mean the sun left with it. Use SPF daily on your face, neck and hands!
4. Exfoliate — Invest in an at-home gentle exfoliating peel to brighten and even your skin tone. Summer leaves our skin more sensitive, fall is the perfect time to exfoliate.

5. Use a face mask weekly — Find a mask that is perfect for your skin type, and use it weekly. Over time, it makes a big difference, leaving you with bright and radiant skin
6. Body care — Don't forget your body. Stay ahead of skin dryness before it even starts. A good moisturizing body lotion or body butter daily,
7. See your Dermatologist — See a Dermatologist (especially after summer). Doing this every fall, is an easy way to remember your annual appointment.
8. Hand care — Hands can get very dry during fall and winter months. Due to harsh soaps and dry weather. Our hands can easily crack and dry out. Keep a good hand lotion in your purse and apply it regularly. Same goes for cuticles — use a cuticle oil daily ( it makes your manicure last longer!).
9. Hydrate — With cooler temperatures, drinking water can be something we might forget. Hydration is vital for skin health! I set reminders to remind me about my water each day.
10. lips — Buy several tubes of lip balm at once, and stash them in various purses and places (like your bedside table and in the car). Lips easily dry out, and the lip balms act as good haunting reminders.
